To be honest…..it has been a very very long time since I washed my makeup brush. Why???? I forget to do it, when I think of it, I’m getting ready to use it and in that minute I’m using it, my ADD brain has forgotten that I wanted to clean it after I was done. (SMH)
Here is a super easy way to clean your brush to rid it of all the bacteria and oils that have built up over time on the bristles. I take my handy dandy Rodan+Fields Eye Makeup Remover and shake some in a glass, about 1/8 of a cup. I then add 1/2 cup of hot water or so and simply submerge my brush. Immediately, it turns into what looks like a latte (Yikes). Because it had been so long since I had done it, I repeated this process so ensure I got it clean.
Ideally, you should wash your brushes, weekly or at the least monthly. I may have to have Siri help me to remember.
